132 kV Underground Cable connection in Cortina (Dolomites)

The 132kV connection between the Zuel SS and the Somprade SS is based on a 23 km underground cable. Its complexity resides in the high altitude and abrupt environment, with the route starting in Zuel at 788 m above sea level. and reaching a pass (Passo Tre Croci) at 1800 m .s.l, before descending to Somprade at 1100 m. In addition, the project includes several river crossings, bridges and nature parks.
CEBAT scope includes the civil works associated with cable laying, as well as engineering and detailed design.
