Installation of a 4.5 km 150kV cable connection via a 2,8km elevated ringroad (Genova) 

• 4.5 km connection between the Genoa Thermal Power Plant and the Grazie Substation 
• 1.7 km underground cable in a high density urban environment  
• 2.8 km bracketed to a high traffic elevated ringroad.  

The routing included a short ascending vertical section – bracketed to a wall – into the Grazie Primary Substation, and having on the opposite side the connection with the existing Fluid Oil cable section. 

C.E.B.A.T. scope included the civil works associated with cable laying, as well as the design, supply and installation of all the metal structure. 

Key to the success of this project was the design and supply of the bearing structure of the cable tray, which was installed to receive the cables running below the elevated ring road, using the existing reinforced concrete pillars.
