8th of March – CEBAT S.p.A., a leading service provider for electrical power networks and utility infrastructure, today announced that it has acquired Giubergia & Armando S.r.l., (“Giubergia”), a maintenance service provider for medium and low voltage (“MV/LV”) electrical infrastructure. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Giubergia, formerly part of the PSC Group and Alpitel S.p.A., is a key service partner for utilities in the Piedmont region, providing a wide range of MV/LV maintenance and upgrade services to the electrical grid necessary for enabling the energy transition.

With a solid backlog of long-term framework agreements, Giubergia brings complementary geographical presence, a strong execution track record and a reputable and experienced workforce to CEBAT.

Domenico D’Elia, Chief Executive Officer at CEBAT said “After the recent commercial successes in the North of Italy across our business lines, the acquisition of Giubergia represents an important catalyst for further accelerating our growth in the region, supporting our clients’ energy transition agenda. CEBAT has always been a key service company for the electrical infrastructure in Northern Italy having played a central role in the Piedmont-Savoy high-voltage underground cable link and currently involved in Terna’s 150kV grid enhancement project for the 2024 Winter Olympics”

Remo Giubergia, Chief Executive Officer at Giubergia said “Giubergia is excited to join forces with CEBAT for this next chapter of growth. The energy transition is generating significant long-term market demand for upgrading aging utility infrastructure and CEBAT is the ideal partner to support us as we capitalize on the opportunities ahead.”

Giubergia will continue to operate from its headquarters in Savigliano, Cuneo and will become a major hub for CEBAT’s operations in the region. The transaction closed on February 20th, 2023.
